Currently, it is owned by Transport Canada and operated by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority since 1996. It serves as a hub for Air Canada, Air Canada Express, Air Canada Rouge, FedEx Express, WestJet, and WestJet Encore. As one of the busiest international airports in the world, it has five (5) runways. The lengths of these runways are 11,120’, 9,697’, 9,000’, 11,050’, and 9,088’. The airport has two (2) passenger terminals, Terminals 1 and 3, both of which are for domestic and international flights. With its strategic location, YYZ airport is accessible to a lot of interesting cities in the country, including Markham, Doncaster, University District, Caledon, and Aurora.
