Wuhai Airport – WUA Wuhai

Otherwise known as Wuhai Jichang, Wuhai Airport is a public airport that connects passengers to and from Beijing, Shanghai, Hohhot, among others.  The airport serves Wuhai as well as other prefectures within the region of Inner Mongolia. WUA is the IATA or airport code of Wuhai Airport. It is located in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia, China. WUA Airport in Wuhai, China is accommodated by Hainan Airlines, China Express Airlines, Air China, Joy Air, and Tianjin Airlines. Currently, the airport has a total of 33 flight operations, with 11 different routes.

Best Time to Visit

Established in 2003, Wuhai Airport was constructed to serve the residents of Wuhai, as one of its main sources of transportation that can take them to other larger cities in China. The airport was built under a five-year plan, with an investment costing around 145 million yuan. The construction of the airport is fully equipped with the latest navigational aid, security features, passenger lounge, check-in counters, and parking areas. The first aircraft to serve Wuhai Airport is Hainan Airlines. Today, passengers that seek to travel to Hangjin Qi or Ordos, via WUA Airport, can easily book their flight tickets at the ticketing booth.

What to Do & Area Attractions

Currently, Wuhai Airport does not provide an onsite hotel. However, there are a number of hotels that are in close proximity to the airport, such as the Grand Skylight International Hotel Wuhai or the Crown Holiday Hotel. These hotels are less than 20-minutes away from the airport. In addition, passengers that wish to travel via Ordos Ejin Horo Airport should checkout before at least 6 hours before their scheduled trip, as travel time to the airport from these hotels will take 4 hours.
