Valdosta Regional Airport - VLD airport is a regional airport in Valdosta in Lowndes County, Georgia. It is conveniently located very near the central business district of the city. It is also surrounded by cities such as the Keaton Beach, St. Marks and Lamont. Although the airport mostly functions for general aviation, ALD airport also has a functional airline- Delta Air Lines, which services from Valdosta to Atlanta. The airport function can accommodate jet planes and multi-engine planes. Majority of the air traffic in VLD airport is still due to arrival for single-engine aircrafts.

Historically, VLD airport was established in 1940 but was later used as pilot training grounds during World War II. It was only after the war that the airport was returned to Valdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority. In 2007, a new runway way completed listing Valdosta Regional Airport to be the third longest runway in Georgia. The current VLD airport has three runways, which span for 2,439 meters, 1,706 meters and 1,108 meters, all of which are asphalted.
