Tiree Airport – TRE Tiree

Situated 2.8 miles northeast of Balemartine, Tiree Airport is owned and maintained by Highlands and Islands Airports Limited. Before the airport was transferred to the Ministry of Civil Aviation in 1947, it was the former Royal Air Force Station Tiree.  TRE Airport of Tiree Scotland is currently serving two airlines, Hebridean Air Services, and Loganair. The busiest flight route to and from the airport is Glasgow.

Best Time to Visit

Tiree Airport has three runways and one passenger terminal. The airport provides basic services to its passengers, such as cafe and WiFi. The facilities available at the airport are parking areas, basic toilets, and an information desk. The opening hours of the airport are from 0930Huntil 1800H from Monday until Saturday. During Sundays, the airport is only open from 1500H until 1615H. While in the area, passengers can visit the Isle of Iona, which is known for its Iona Abbey, the oldest Christian religious centers in Western Europe.
