In June 1993, plans to renovate and expand Orchestra Hall significantly were approved, and the $110 million projects resulting in Symphony Center began in 1995 and were completed in 1997.

The Symphony Center’s Orchestral Hall was listed among the National Historic Landmark on April 19, 1994.
