Henry E. Rohlsen Airport – STX St. Croix

Originally known as Alexander Hamilton International Airport, STX-St. Croix Airport is a small public airport located on the island of Christiansted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Formerly a hub for Aero Virgin Islands in the 1970s and 1980s, it is run by Virgin Islands Port Authority and handles mainly flights within the Caribbean. It was christened Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in 1996 after one of the Tuskegee Airmen in World War II who was a St. Croix native.

With an area of 1,455 acres (589 hectares), Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) also known as HERA has a long, asphalt paved runway measuring10,004 x150 feet (3,049 × 46 meters). Its spacious two-level passenger terminal has 10 airline gates and is equipped with a recently upgraded security access control system. It is currently served by domestic airlines as well as commuter carriers or island hopper planes, and hosts around 1.8 million passengers a year. The Henry E. Rohlsen Airport is the gateway for those travelling to the cities of Orange Grove, Richmond and Testman.
