Center for Portuguese Photography, Porto, Portugal 

Portuguese Center of Photography in Porto, Portugal was established in 1997. The first exhibits were held on the ground floor of the building until 2000 when it was renovated. It reopened its doors to the public in 2001. 

Fun things to do in the area include visiting Fort of Sao Francisco de Queijo. It is a fortification constructed in the 15th century upon the order of King John IV of Portugal. It was declared a Property of Public Interest in 1934. Tourists should also visit Castro of Monte Mozinho Ruins in the nearby city of Penafiel. It is a Neolithic, fortified settlement often called “City of the Dead”. It dates back to the proto-historic period. Another interesting site to visit in the area is Electric Tram Museum. Opened in 1992 in a former thermoelectric power station, it features exhibits showcasing the local history of trams. Collection includes 16 electric cars, 5 trailers, 2 maintenance vehicles, and old power plant equipment. One of the best hotels in the area is Porto AS 1829 Hotel.
