Noto Airport – NTQ Wajima
Commonly known as Wajima Airport, Noto Airport is a domestic public-used airport the Wajima City, Noto Peninsula in the Japanese Prefecture of Ishikawa. The airport has a designated airport code of NTQ and is being operated by Japan’s Ministry of Transport. Wajima Airport is the main airport serving the entire city of Wajima and its nearby cities of Aramata, Toyama and Fukumitsu. As of 2015, the airport has nearly 157,000-boarded passengers, loaded seven metric tons of cargo shipment and has a total of 3,299 aircraft movements.

Noto Airport was classified as a third class or joint-use airport by the Japanese Aeronautical Law with a single asphalt/concrete runway, a 4-story passenger terminal and two jet bridges. When the Noto Airport started its operations in July 2003, it only has one daily flight catered by All Nippon Airways (ANA). With the Japanese and ANA agreement, ANA will cater two flights daily provided the government will compensate if the set target will not be met. The agreement has become favorable for both parties for the airport is consistently hitting its monthly ticket target sales.
