Visitors who have some time to spend exploring the city of Bangor should take a trip to the North Down Heritage Centre. This center is located in a beautiful setting at the Town Hall in Bangor Castle, Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom. This Victorian Mansion dates back from 1852 while the outbuildings and stables were renovated. This small heritage center is the most popular museum in Ulster and receives hundreds of guests weekly.

This facility is located in a neo-Renaissance building and promotes historical, cultural, artistic, and archaeological heritage. The museum highlight exhibits on art, social history, maritime, archaeology, and land transportation. The exhibit theme focuses on flora, fauna, seaside holiday, and Vikings. 

The Crawfordsburn Country Park located on the shores of Belfast Lough has a long rocky and rugged coastline with two of the nicest beaches in Crawfordsburn. Visitors often take a trip to this park as it is not very crowded. The Bangor Marina, on the other hand, is the biggest marina in Northern Ireland and is known as being the center of Bangor.
