Morgantown Municipal Airport – MGW
Morgantown, West Virginia’s municipal airport is called after the city itself. Morgantown Municipal Airport is also prominently known as Walter L. Bill Hart Field. In years 2011 to 2015, the United States Federal Aviation Administration categorized it as a primary commercial service airport. Single-engine, multiple-engine, jets, and helicopters, a total of 52 of these aircrafts, are currently based at the MGW-Morgantown Municipal Airport.

Its single runway is relative short making it unable to accommodate larger airplanes however, a petition to extend the runway has already been filed to the US FAA. Southern Airways Express is the sole airline operating at MGW with daily flights to and from Pittsburgh and Baltimore-Washington. The first flight that took of the airport dates back in 1949. From the airport, you can visit the nearby cities of Hazelton and Star City.
