Established in 1960, Corpus Christi International Airport is situated in Nueces County. The newly constructed airport replaced Cliff Maus Airport as the demand for airport services grew. The airport is currently serving Corpus Christi and its surrounding cities in the county of Nueces. American Airlines, United Express, and Southwest Airlines are the list of aircraft with regular flight schedules between Dallas, Houston, and Fort Worth. In 2017, a record of 97,000 flight aircraft operations was listed averaging 266 flight schedules a day. It is expected that passenger traffic will continue to increase as more people travel to and from Corpus Christi, Texas.

Classified as a commercial service non-hub airport, Corpus Christi International Airport has six gates.
